Here comes a mobile that breaks the mold of standard 16:9 screen format and sports a IPS display with 4:3 aspect ratio.
LG today released a teaser of their upcoming mobile Optimus Vu in Korea. The teaser follows somewhat the same strategy of "hide-some-reveal-some" details as was done by HP when they released the teaser of Spectre.
The phone is believed to pack a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm WPQ8060 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. The massive 5-inch display has a 1024×768 resolution, and since it houses a 4:3 aspect ratio the display on the Optimus Vu will actually have a higher surface area than other mobiles in the same screen display category (Remember Samsung Note!). The primary camera is an estimated 8MP.
As of now, there is still no confirmation whether the device will be released internationally or only in Korea.
Will keep you posted!
