It seems there was some out there worried about what became of the "app arrow" in Windows Phone 8. Well if you are one of those people of you can breath easy it is still there they just moved it.
The arrow is now on the bottom of the start screen forced to be moved by Windows Phone 8's use of all the real estate for tiles. This raises the question if said arrow is even necessary anymore? I don't really think that people would pick up the phone scroll to the bottom and think that's all the apps on the phone. Everytime you hand someone a Windows Phone that has never held one before the first thing the do is try to swipe to the right. (which is where the rest of the apps are)
That being said the App Arrow is iconic Windows Phone right now and there may still be few people out there that the arrow actually helps so if it's not doing any harm why not leave it? For my money I can care less either way but I would love to hear your opinion on this if you feel strongly about it one way or the other.
