The GSMA announced the winners of the Global Mobile Awards at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
For the second consecutive year, Samsung won the most prestigious awards: the "Best Smartphone" where it's Galaxy S III won the "battle" against the iPhone 5, HTC DNA/Butterfly, Galaxy Note 2and the Nokia Lumia 920 and "Device Manufacturer of the Year".
The Best Mobile Tablet goes to Google and Asus for the Nexus 7 beating Amazon's Kindle Fire HD 8.9, Apple's iPad with retina display and the iPad Mini and Samsung's Galaxy Note 10.1.The Best Feature phone or entry level phone award goes to Nokia Asha 305, while the Best Mobile App for Consumers to Facebook.
