iPhone “Powerful” ad takes a subtle shot at Samsung and shows Apple’s advantage is in apps

Apple's advertisements tend to focus on what a phone does and how it affects someone's life rather than the raw specs. The latest advertisement that began airing this week highlights that by showcasing several apps available in the iOS App Store and how they can make users do things they probably didn't imagine.

There's even a veiled shot at Samsung at the 1:05 mark. While Samsung has been promoting the ability of the Galaxy S5 to take someone's pulse with the built-in sensor on the back, Apple shows how an app already uses the rear flash to do that. At the end, you can see there are plenty of use cases for iPhones without having to argue about screen size and cores. Is it a good strategy? Take a look and decide for yourself.
