Microsoft Website Update Suggests Windows 10 Mobile Coming Soon

Last month Microsoft launched Windows 10 Mobile and the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones, two handsets that ship with the new platform. Older Lumia device still locked on Windows Phone 8.1 are having to wait for their update, but it seems Microsoft is now moving the gears and that the roll out will begin shortly.

The company has updated is Windows Support website to show details about Windows 10 Mobile for consumers, and how they can update their current handsets to the build. Redmond is not saying when the update will begin, and we are guessing it will be staged, coming to some smartphones before it does to others.

Speaking of smartphones, Microsoft has already confirmed that the following handsets will be getting Windows 10 Mobile: Lumia 430, Lumia 435, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 635 (versions with 1 GB of RAM), Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, and Lumia 930.
