Huawei has had a really busy year through 2015, but the company continue to rout handsets. So much so that it is sometimes hard to keep up, but the next smartphone to be launched should stand out from the crowd. It is the Huawei P9 Max, a device that is expected to launch November 29th and will be the Chinese company’s new phablet flagship.
Phablet is the right word too as an AnTuTu benchmark score reveals that the P9 Max will sport a massive 6.2-inch screen, making this one of the biggest smartphones on the market. We expect that panel to be Quad HD, and at this size that pixel dense resolution should look stunning. Huawei is going for raw power with the P9 Max, which will sport the company’s new Kirin 950 chipset.
Previous tests have shown that this silicon is going to be the fastest currently available, beating Samsung’s Exynos 7420. However, AnTuTu’s results showed that the P9 Max had a lower score than the Meizu Pro 5, which does come with Samsung’s 7420. Either way, in the real world we imagine that the P9 Max is going to be a stunning performer that is among the fastest on the market.
According to the results on the benchmarking software, the new Huawei P9 Max will be shipping with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
