We have waited ever so long for Xiaomi to finally launch the Mi 5 flagship, and after a year it seems the Chinese company will be unveiling the device next month, with the handset due to be launched at MWC in Barcelona.
To add fuel to the fire, a box that seems to be for the Xiaomi Mi 5 when it is sold at retail locations. As we know by now, and as the box suggests, the Mi 5 will be like all Xiaomi handsets and will only be launched in Asia.
Is the wait between the Xiaomi Mi 4 and the upcoming Mi 5 the longest we have had to wait for a flagship update from a major brand? The handset is expected to launch in the coming weeks, which means it has been subject to a torrent of leaks of late. Arguably the most substantial yet it this, an image that purports to show the Mi 5 out in the wild for the first time. You can expect a classy metal build of course, but the Chinese company has always been about combining blazing specs with affordability.
The device is set to launch on February 22nd (confirmed by Xiaomi), so we will have to wait until then to know the price, but the specs are much surer. Xiaomi has crafted a high spec'd device for sure with some cutting edge hardware packed into the chassis.
