
It seems HTC's comeback may be put on hold for a little while they try to figure out how get parts for it's ultra-pixel camera module. These parts are said to be "severely limited" at the moment so much so that HTC has cut it's production projection of the HTC One by Eighty percent! To put this is in real world terms HTC will only be able to produce 800,000-1.2 million HTC One units in this upcoming quarter.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is equipped with an 8.7-megapixel camera with PureView technology and without a doubt takes the best photos in low light situations compared to current competition. A couple of day ago Nokia announced its mid-range Lumia 720 that features a 6.7-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and f/1.9 aperture (the biggest aperture on any Nokia smartphone that should help to capture more light). The HTC One has "only" 4-megapixels (or better say UltraPixels) and according to the company "the UltraPixel Sensor has the largest individual pixel size available in a smartphone, which enables each pixel to capture up to 300% more light."

While HTC did not show off any new Windows Phones lately that does not mean it has written of the platform. In fact at Mobile World Congress this year HTC's Vice President for Global Product Planning stated: "we are actually fully committed to our Windows Phone business. We do have good collaboration with Microsoft for a future release this year." Those plans include the HTC "Tiara" which appears to be a mid range device on specs alone.
