The original iPhone was the first smartphone shipped with an embedded non-removable battery. Well, they were removable, just not (officially) by the end user. A trend was born; nowadays numerous smartphone's come with embedded batteries. The Nokia Lumia 900 and the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx are two high-end devices following this concept.

Official specs for Motorola's Razr Maxx are that it's using a 3,300mAH battery. That translates to a seemingly endless 19 hour and 47 minute battery life. Now if only the other manufacturers could follow their lead, the days of having to charge smartphones 2-3 times a day could be a thing of the past.
