Finding The Best Mobile Phone
Posted on 22. Mar, 2009 by admin.
I must have owned well over 20 mobile phones since I first started becoming a user back in 1997 or so. That’s around 2 mobile phones per year for those who don’t want to do the math at this particularly late hour! Now, I will be the first to admit that not all of the mobile phones have been particular decent. I spent a good few years purchasing mobile phones purely for the way they looked as opposed to their features and most importantly, how practical they are. I also used to search for the cheapest mobile deals out there and simply pick up a handset that was new and cheap (big mistake).
When it comes to buying a phone. The first thing you need to do is test it. Don’t buy something just because you’ve seen it on TV or HEARD that it is good. Try it out, make sure it’s usable and that you favour the navigation. I remember buying a new thin Samsung and I just couldn’t get used to it. As with all mobile phones - you then need to consider the features. Make sure the phone can do exactly what you need it to.
There are enough popular mobile phone offers out there these days so you should have no trouble picking up a handset which meets all of your requirements.

Flash games are all over us. Built over Macromedia Flash and Adobe Flash Players, the games provide an able foil for those who want entertainment and thrill. These video games are spread over a large Diaspora and connect to a greater set of audience.
Think of the spread of online games; there are the arcade games, adventure games, sports games, fight games, casino and the card games and a lot more. The graphics and videos are quite stimulating and present us a beautiful gaming experience.
You can connect and display the game on your own webpage if you have an internet profile with My Space. Just gather the better plug-ins and you are off for the green pastures of gaming.
You can also choose to get various gaming download. This can be done via the many authentic gaming portals. These portals provide peer to peer file sharing programs. These programs provide games with cost per download. You can also register to an online subscription and ensure that you get a subscription which takes a one-time cost.

The Best Mobile Phone Out There
Posted on 31. Jan, 2009 by admin.
I get asked this question a lot. Which is THE best mobile phone out there at the moment? Personally, I think it’s the Apple iPhone, but it would really depend on your preference. For some, mobile phones is just a status symbol, a fashion item, so long as it looks good when they pull it out of their pocket - that’ll do - but, for the more technically minded it’s more about software, features and general capabilities.
So, to answer the question of what is the best mobile phone around at the moment, I’d have to say that it depends on what you’re looking for. For me, if you want a phone that blends looks with features, then go for the iPhone. If you’re looking for a mobile phone that just looks good and isn’t really that decent in terms of technology, I quite like the LG range. Partly because of their price also. If you want features, go for an Nokia N96. I don’t think you will find a better phone at the moment when it comes to features. They don’t look half bad either. For me though, it’s the iPhone. I think it’ll be awhile before someone rivals Apple when it comes to design style.

Calling International - How to do it cheaper!
Posted on 13. Nov, 2008 by admin.
We all have to do it at some point, make that international call that is…and if you’re anything like me, you’ll want to get it over with as quickly as possible. Not just because you are more than likely phoning a client you don’t particularly want to speak to - more so due to the costs involved, and they are REAL costs, let me tell you. That is of course unless you use a calling card. I have recently started using these as you can see from some of my previous posts and I must admit I am more the surprised at the savings I make.
Whether you’re calling your parents in the USA, your girlfriend in Russia or making international calls to India, the savings are all there for the taking. International calling cards really can save you a small fortune if like me, you make these types of calls often.
The features available to phone / calling card these days such as speed dialing, rapid re-connect and pinless dialing make the experience even more enjoyable - almost as good as using your landline phone or mobile, but without the costs!
There are many options available to you and you can save yourself a lot of time and money - especially if you’re calling the same person / country frequently.

Calling My Indian Relatives Just Got Cheaper
Posted on 13. Nov, 2008 by admin.
I often have to call India from the United States as I have a few relatives there and I must say, the costs involved are putting me off more and more each time. Have any of you guys actually tried calling India from inside the US recently? The costs involved are absolutely horrendous. It is almost too expensive to call. The one method I have found that actually makes it cheaper to call India is by using a phone card. I know my vast amount of mobile orientated readers will be cringing at the thought of this but consider the savings for a moment. If you’re using any of the large cellular networks here in the US, you’re going to be paying through the roof - when you really don’t need to.
Of course it’s not just calling India that is costly, calling pretty much any country from inside the US these days is extremely costly. You can find international phone cards that make calling ANY country cheaper than your cell or landline phone. You can also find international phone cards that are designed specifically to call a designated country. The savings on these types of cards are even greater!

You can call without your mobile!
Posted on 13. Nov, 2008 by admin.
Obviously my blog is geared towards mobile / cellular users but from time to time, something gets my attention that I just have to bring to my readers. Today, that something is phone cards. I know a lot of you have used (or moaned) about phone cards in the past but I must say, as skeptical as I was initially. I am now a converted user!
I have been trialing the banana call calling cards for over 3 months now, only really to make calls to the United States but even so, the savings I make when compared to my mobile are amazing. That isn’t an understatement either. I have saved literally hundreds of pounds off my phone bill over the course of the past 3 months. I am actually quite surprised.
The banana call cheap phone cards offer a huge saving when calling both into and outside from the USA, especially if you’re calling the likes of Europe. You can call for next to nothing. The features available these days also make it even easier. It’s not like it used to be having to enter and remember all kinds of codes just to make a simple call.
I strongly urge anyone who has tried calling cards in the past to give them another go. The features alone make it worthwhile and the savings are just a bonus!

Ringtones Mean More To Users Than Simple Alert Sounds
Posted on 24. Sep, 2008 by admin.
Phones these days are so much more than mere mechanical instruments of communication. They not only assist you with keeping in touch with the rest of the world, they get you news alerts, images, chats, movies, emails, music, internet and a whole lot more. They have come to be viewed more as status symbols than simple gadgets. There is so much that you can do with your mobile phone. A favorite among many is having a different ringtone that sets them apart from the rest of the crowd. Ringtones are now more than just a way of alerting the user to a new call or sms, and a number of people download free polyphonic ringtones that are conveniently available online every single day. There is an overwhelming array of ringtones that one can choose from. You have top ringtones, funny ringtones, scary ringtones, mp3 ringtones and ringtones that you can create on your own. Ringtones are viewed by many as extensions of their personality. Students may prefer to have ringtones based on their popular rock music tracks and elders tend to prefer soothing tones. Regardless of what type of music they use, ringtones have become a prime focus of service providers and users alike.

The First Cell Phone to Offer a Foldout Display
Posted on 25. Jul, 2008 by admin.
Polymer Vision, a Dutch company, is scheduled to release the first cell phone in the world that has a foldout display so you can read email, watch podcasts, view text documents, keep up with the latest news and even blog. It is called “Readius”. It is the same size as a standard cell phone, but also features a 5” screen that folds out from the phone.
A foldout display like this is a first in the industry of cell phones and it lets the phone have a larger viewing screen without adding any additional bulk to the phone. The Readius will fit conveniently into your pocket and has a screen big enough for you to enjoy your favorite podcasts. The Readius is somewhat like a combination of an electronic book reader and a standard cell phone. The phone features a black and white screen that has the look and feel of paper and ink on an actual news publication or book.
The release of the new Readius is anticipated for sometime in the middle of this year and the price should be in the high-end range of the market somewhere between $300 to $500.

Staying True to Phone Conferencing
Posted on 12. Jul, 2008 by admin.
Most small businesses on the planet are in the fast lane of production with their fancy tools like broadband internet and remote e-mailing, but the days of audio conference through phone conferencing are quickly becoming a thing of the past. The new tools for conferencing online are growing in popularity.
However, most companies are staying true to the original conference call. And so they should. Sure, the internet conferencing may be cheaper, but it may not be as convenient. By using phone conference calling you can connect everyone in the call no matter where they are without having to worry about where they are at the time of the call.
You can schedule a call between your accounts manager in the off shore office, your office clerk at home with her sick child, your lawyer at his office downtown, your client across town and have them all participate in a meeting in your boardroom at your head office with your team of employees. With a good old fashion telephone call, this action would be a breeze. It may not be so easy with online conference. Your office clerk may not have the right software at home, your accounts manager may not be able to pick up an internet signal at his location, you client may not have computers installed in their office yet and your lawyers secretary could be out to lunch.
Most people have some type of phone with them at all times and are just a conference call away.
