
While Apple has apologized already for the state of it's mapping system it seems what they did to fix it is not enough. In fact if you are in Australia sightseeing in Murray Sunset National Park and trying to find Mildura it will lead you a mere 70km astray of your destination. Which wouldn't be a too bad unless it the location it leads you too happens to be an area where is there is no water and it gets to be 115 F. (which it does). This situation is serious and has been reported to be "putting lives at risk" by local newspapers.

Apple's new clock for iOS is a really great iconic design that is easy to read at a glance. Sadly for them they didn't design it. Nope it was designed by Swiss engineer Hans Hilfiker way back in 1944. Apple has now come to an agreement with Swiss national rail operator SBB (who owns the rights to the clock) for 21 million dollars so they can continue to use the clock.

There has been a lot of press recently about the new iPhone 5 and more specifically iOS 6. Now depending on who you talk too it's either the second coming or so awful it was made by the devil himself. We all know the truth is somewhere in between, it has some rough patches (looking directly at you maps and WiFi connectivity) but for the most part it's the same smooth user experience that people have come to expect from Apple.
