While I am not a huge fan of the LG G Flex I can see and appreciate it's beauty. From the huge curved display to the self healing plasti and innovative "buttons on the back" design there, are a lot of great features to run with on an advertising campaign. So which one of these awesome features did LG go with? Read More »
I know we're all focused on the main show set to take place later this month when HTC unveils the All New HTC One, but that doesn't mean the company is sitting still. A little while back Google introduced a completely new type of concept device for consumers a "build your own" device modular concept. This device would be a bare bones item in which you would get to choose everything about the devices specs by what can best be described as plug and play. It's also going to come with a price based on what you need.
We haven't seen much of the Tizen operating system that Samsung and Intel have been developing, but a few hands-on videos that have appeared online make it appear as though as though we've seen it before. That's because the design has so much in common with the Touchwiz user experience found on Samsung's Android devices. Though the icon choices differ in some regards, it's hard not to draw a direct line based on the similarities seen in the videos below.
Engadget has a hands-on video that shows Tizen looking pretty different, but there are still shades of Touchwiz in the camera app. Both videos show an interesting OS, but the version seen in Engadget's hands-on looks a little better to me. I must admit that I'm interested in both versions because of things like the way that "Dynamic Boxes" (widgets) expand into having a flipped view. However, I don't see anything in particular to make me think this would offer something that better than what someone can get from Android. You have to start somewhere, so maybe Tizen will mature into something more compelling than a phone that reminds me of a Galaxy device.

Nokia is continuing to leak Nokia X teasers and I expect them to continue doing so all they way up until the announcement at Mobile World Congress.
